Checklist of frequent errors

Not putting the title.

Not using quotations.

Writing notes, not sentences.

Putting 's when the ' is not needed.

Putting there [from here] when you mean their.

Putting ‘should of’ when you mean 'should have.’

Using lazy, first thought words.

Not writing enough.

Remember: the examiner will see only your answer. You must explain everything to show you understand.

You must quote, with " " marks, to show you know the book fully - the whole point of your lessons and homeworks.

Homeworks for the GCSE courses last at least one hour.

In addition, you must always read ahead and, in year 11, be re-reading and self-testing.

Good grades come from good work habits.
